Total army compensation is hard to calculate since it includes a lot of components broaden among many agencies and seizures. Most army compensation is funded through the services’ armed forces personnel seizure accounts. Those accounts summed $123 billion in financial year 2005. Known an active-duty force of approximately 1.4 million workforces in 2005, those approximate recommend that the total yearly cost of army compensation was as much as $193 billion.
Along with the added costs of workforce are about $13 billion per year for present health care for active-duty service members and their families and approximately $4 billion in accumulated liabilities for the projected health check costs of staff who will have served until retirement but not yet attained the eligibility age for Medicare. Veterans’ health care would charge another $10 billion per year if it was financed on an accumulation basis, and other veterans’ benefits would charge $12 billion on an accumulation basis.
