Buying the Tamron 18-270 PZD Lens

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012

This photographer business card uses an illustration of a DSLR camera ...After deciding for several days, I decided to buy this Tamron 18-270 PZD lens. My experience with Tamron has been very positive so far and so I have decided to give their new lens a try. In this short review, I will share my experience using this lens with you. The first thing that I noticed when opening the box was how small this lens is compared to its competitor. With this amount of weight, one would not notice that this is a super zoom lens. When you use this with a DSLR camera, it will balance out just right. The lens feels great on all occasion and this is the lens that I carry with me all the time. I do use my DSLR camera often for family shots. If you like to do various type of shots, this is the lens to try out. Overall, I am glad I got this lens.

Post Your Art Online and Gain Better Exposure

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

After putting all their efforts and hard work into creating the perfect piece of art, the most difficult time for the artists arrives when it comes to promoting what they have created. It is true that not all artists are well versed with the art of advertising and selling their work, no matter how talented they may be in the general forms of art. To master this art as well, artists have to really start putting their art online in order to allow people to see their brilliance and exceptional creativity. Although some traditional artists may not like the commercializing of artistic work, we know that countless people choose art as their life profession, not because they want to make money, but because they love to do what they are best at. However, by actually making some money they can get good encouragement and it will allow them to be able to create something better every time. Thus, using the Internet as a platform and applying several of its tools can easily allow artists to promote their work and also learn new artistic trends.

Reviews of the Nikon 35mm Lens

Monday, January 23rd, 2012

IMSA - International Municipal Signal Association - Staff ListingWhen we talk about reviews of the Nikon 35mm lens, there are several places that you can find them. There are sites dedicated to lens reviews only. You may also find reviews in online retail sites. Online forums are another great place to see a review and discuss about it as well. In the physical world, magazines are a great option to read about lenses, especially the new arrivals. You must always look at who has written the review before you actually go ahead and trust the contents of the review and make your decisions based on it. Reviewers often rate similar lenses and it would be a great idea to look at comparative scores of some other options as well before you actually make the purchase of this budget lens from Nikon. Your needs and specific tastes also play a part in deciding which the best lens for you.

A Couple of Newborn Photography Tips for Parents Before a Newborn Photography Shoot

Tuesday, January 10th, 2012

As far as Newborn Baby Photography goes, there are many different items to remember, I done numberous photography sessions of Newborn Babies as a Utah Newborn Photographer, so have learned a few things. Baby’s Cooperation: There аrе 2 moments thаt аrе thе bеѕt whеn photographing а newborn baby, A) Whеn Thе Newborn Iѕ Relaxed аnd Cooperative. It іѕ bеѕt whіlе іt іѕ early іn thе morning аnd уоur baby hаѕ bееn fed аnd bathed. Bу then, mоѕt babies wіll feel relaxed аnd cooperative – јuѕt whаt уоu nееd tо conduct newborn baby photography sessions. Refrain frоm putting а nappy оr tight clothing оn уоur child bеfоrе thе shoot. Thіѕ helps tо avoid indentations оr marks оn уоur child’s soft skin. Thе child оftеn mіght арреаr to lооk tоo shiny іn pictures іf applied wіth baby oil оr moisturizing cream. Therefore, dо nоt apply thе baby oil аnd moisturizing cream оn thе child bеfоrе а photo shoot. B) Whеn Thе Newborn is sound asleep is another great time tо photograph newborn babies, whеn thеу аrе sleeping soundly you can mould them and get them in those cute little positions that you want to get a photo of. Feed him/ hеr wеll аnd snuggle thе child untіl he/ ѕhе gеtѕ comfortable, don’t try and start the photography session if the baby is not ready.

Wedding Photography Always Get It Done Professionally!

Monday, November 7th, 2011

There are one or two, or a very few, moments in one’s life that need be taken extra care of while the execution of such is taking place. For example, when your child is being born is one of them. Never risk your woman to inexperienced doctors at cheap hospitals. Always go for the ones that have a name in the said field and deal patients like these daily. Likewise, you have to take great care while choosing a bride because not just anybody can fit the bill and live up to you expectations.

You have to find the just the right person for this because, after all, this is your life we are talking about so casually! However, all of the above – the babies the spouses and their selection comes down to just one thing – the wedding; and because your wedding is such a big deal not just for you but for all the attendants, it is most important that it be photographed with great care. For best wedding photography, hire professionals only!

Photo Books Provide Great Gifts

Sunday, October 23rd, 2011

I think that photo books work as great gifts. I recently had to go to my grandparents sliver wedding anniversary and had no idea what to get them! Wine is the easy option but I was sure that they would get a lot of wine (which they did!). So after researching and browsing on the internet I discovered the company photo books and decided to purchase and open an account for them. It meant they can store all the photos from that party and other on there and always have one easy place to return to when they want to re-live the experiences they had. My grandparents loved the photo book as a present and I think it’s a great present to give to any one, any age. If you follow the link I put at the bottom of this post you can find the website and begin creating your own photo book straight away!

Landscape Photography and My New Camera

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

Just the day a I bought a book about photography because I’m really interested in learning more about this topic. I find it fascinating taking pictures of old relics and old buildings. For example I found a website about landscape photography that had many pictures of ancient China and also many pictures of ancient Japan. I have been to Japan before, it was an amazing place full of rich historic landmarks. I can only imagine China to be a similar place and I would like to travel there one-day to take my own photographs. I have been saving up money for a new camera and I’m looking at getting a digital SLR camera. This camera will give me the extra ability to take really great photos and I can’t wait until I can afford to buy it. I found a place online to buy a really cheap camera and I’m looking forward to getting it soon.

Where to Learn How to Draw

Saturday, September 17th, 2011

If you’ve noticed that you have a particular talent in capturing scenes from everyday life on paper, you may want to consider a formal education in learning how to draw. There are many formal courses you can attend though these can sometimes be costly. If you are very committed though, studying Fine Art at university level is a good way to start off, not just because of what it teaches you but also because of the contacts you’ll make while you’re there. If you’re short on time, you can opt for some of the more informal classes on a weekend or at night, which allow you to spend a few relaxing hours in front of a canvas, learning how to draw almost anything from people to still life pieces to landscapes. This is a great way to hone your abilities and stretch your creative talent to its limit, and it doesn’t cost too much.

Inuit Stone Carvings

Friday, September 9th, 2011

Inuit stone carvings and stone-cut prints are two the most popular types of Inuit art (sometimes spelled as Inuits arts). Carvings are often purchased as gifts for colleagues, friends or family members.

Inuit sculptures make excellent wedding gifts. So next time when your friends invite you to their wedding, consider buying a beautiful Inuit carving. Often newly weds need to decorate their home and Inuit art is perfect for that.Another thing about Inuit carvings that makes them ideal as gifts is that there are sculptures for any budget.

A smaller Inuit carving of a bear or a bird will cost you as little as 150 dollars only. If you are planning to spend more, then you can even find Inuit carvings for over ten thousand dollars. One of the most famous Inuit artists in the world is Lucassie Ikkidluak from Iqaluit. Lucassie makes muskox sculptures that are valued very high.

I’m Sure Any User of Sigma Would Agree with My Sigma 24-70 HSM Review

Monday, July 11th, 2011

After enjoying the lens so much I decided to write a Sigma 24-70 HSM Review. I bought this lens after researching a variety of similar ones before realising that the Sigma was significantly cheaper than many of its competing makes. It also excels in a whole variety of other areas; for example it has excellent focal range and consistently good sharpness and quality. The Sigma 24-70 HSM also greatly reduces chromatic distortion (blurring at the edges of shapes and objects) in all its photographs. The pictures are at their sharpest at the wide end of their focal range making it ideal for landscape shots or building photography. However, being a very versatile lens it suits many different styles of photography. This lens also has fantastic vignetting control at every aperture. I found it to be a highly useful and well-rounded lens and I would gladly recommend it to anyone interested in photography.

My Canon 50mm 1.2 is by Far My Favourite Lens

Sunday, July 10th, 2011

I was bought the Canon 50mm 1.2 as a birthday present and have been reliant on it ever since. I take photographs as a hobby and friends and family have noticed my love and flare for taking photographs. Even though I am not very serious about my photography, I am always on hand to take professional style photos for friends and family, during special occasions or just when requested. The Canon 50mm 1.2 lens creates a beautiful image and is perfect for taking photographs of people against out door scenery. The photos that I have taken, using the lens, have found their way, mounted and framed, in many of my close friends’ homes. A large print of a family photograph that I took has found its way into my parents’ dining room on the feature wall and is always a point of discussion during my parents’ dinner party. I would not be without my Canon 50mm 1.2 lens and don’t know how I managed without it.

Canon’s Powershot S95 is a Camera for Advanced Amateurs

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011

There have not been a lot of options for advanced amateur photographs or the skilled professionals in the compact digital camera market. Most of these small pocket sized cameras have been marketed toward the beginning or casual photographer. More advanced users typically had to step up to a bridge camera or the more expensive DSLR. That was until Canon introduced the Powershot S95 digital camera. This has features that all classes of photographers will love.

For the beginners there are still plenty of automatic features and scene modes to make this a regular point and shoot. However it has so much more to offer than that. It gives photographers the ability to shoot in RAW mode, control over aperture and shutter speeds, and an amazing large aperture at f/stop 2.0 for great blurred backgrounds and low light shooting.

The Canon S95 really puts a lot of functionality into a very small camera. You can really learn the skills of advanced photography without having to spend thousands on a digital SLR.
